OVERVIEW
Join us in Singapore’s first fully online primary palliative care course!
Crafted in collaboration with workgroup members from the 3 healthcare clusters, the community and the Chapter of Family Medicine Physicians, this interactive asynchronous course aims to equip primary care providers with practical skills to deliver compassionate, person-centered care for patients with serious illnesses and their families.
This course is guided by the 4R framework - Recognise, Review, Relay and Reach Out —you will learn how to identify palliative care needs, manage common concerns, communicate effectively, and coordinate holistic support.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of the core modules, learners will be able to:
1. Recognise palliative care needs early and integrate a palliative approach into primary care for patients with serious illness and their families.
2. Assess and manage common symptoms and challenges in serious illness using evidence-based, patient-centred approaches.
3. Apply the Serious Illness Conversation Guide and empathic communication skills to support meaningful conversations about goals and preferences.
4. Deliver holistic, person-centred care by addressing psychosocial, spiritual, grief and bereavement needs.
DETAILS
Learners will access materials such as videos, animated presentations, readings, assessments on the Learning Management System (LMS) at their own pace and time.
Estimated duration required to complete the course: 2 hour
Learners have access to the materials for one month upon successful registration.
The online self-paced learning is supplemented by an online forum that will address any questions and comments at the end of the course.
