Palliative Care Course for Community Nurses (Basic)
OVERVIEW
This is a basic certificate level course, designed for community nurses.
The aim of this course is to build professional competency and confidence of community nurses by equipping them with the necessary knowledge to work with patients and families facing life-threatening illnesses. The trainers consist of experienced doctors and nurses who will share palliative care knowledge and experiences through engaging mini-presentations and case discussions.
It is a blended learning course where participants will be able to access mini-presentations, assessments and video clips via a web-based learning management system. The online self-study will be supplemented with an interactive face-to-face session.

Module 1: Introduction to Palliative Care
Module 2: Pain & Symptom Management
Module 3: Caring for the Dying
Module 4: Basic Communication at the End of Life

Certificate of Completion
To obtain the certificate, participants must complete all course work and attend the face-to-face session.
