
Foundation in Spiritual Care Workshop
OVERVIEW
This foundational course in the principles and practice of spiritual care for patients with serious illnesses, is designed especially for all medical healthcare workers across all settings.
Recognizing that spirituality plays a vital role in holistic well-being, this course will empower healthcare workers with relevant tools and resources, explore ethical complexities and recognize the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
This is a fully online course held over 4 half days on Zoom.
COURSE CONTENT
The following topics will be covered over the 4 half days:-
- Spirituality and Religion in End of Life Care
- Ethical Practice of Spiritual Care
- Spirituality, Culture and Ethnicity at the end of life
- Understanding non-verbal communication of dying patients and their loved ones
