A Certificate Course On Comprehensive Biostatistics Using STATA

OVERVIEW
The Centre for Quantitative Medicine offers both short and longer-duration courses to familiarize participants with statistical methods used in clinical research. Participants will learn to perform statistical analysis using Stata and interpret results. Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course introduces a wide range of statistical methods used in clinical research. No prior knowledge of statistics and statistical software is required. Participants will learn to perform statistical analysis using Stata commands and interpret analysis results.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Perform statistical programming in Stata
- Prepare analysis-ready data
- Prepare different statistical graphs
- Analyze numerical, binary, survival outcomes
- Interpret statistical analysis results
- Be familiar with good statistical reporting

FORMAT
Lectures will cover concepts, applications and interpretation of statistical methods.
Stata sessions will demonstrate the use of Stata for statistical analysis. Participants should have their computers with Stata installed.
Each class session consists of 1 hr 45 mins lecture + 15 mins break + 2 hrs Stata session.
